Domestic Applicants:

We would love to have you on the steam on team! For the 2019-2020 academic year, steam on has national, state, and local positions open to students in high school and above. We received so many incredible applicants for our International Leadership Team in the past few months and are now looking to further grow our team for the 2019-2020 academic year. We have already filled most of our National Director positions for the year (including Director of Programming, Development, Communications and Marketing, Partnerships, and Recruitment) as well as most of our Regional Director positions but are growing the team to include a National Director of Logistics and National Director of Finance; Program Leads for the Tutoring, Local Chapter, and Newsletter/Blog program; Steam On State Directors; and Local Managers!

If you are interested in joining the steam on team and fulfilling one of these roles, check out what each position entails by clicking the "learn more" button. When you are ready to fill out your application, just click the "apply" button. The deadline to apply is February 1st at midnight Pacific Time. We can't wait to hear from you. Thanks for getting involved with steam on and helping students to access and achieve!

International Applicants:

We would love to have you on the steam on team! Each country will have a Country Director who essentially acts as a CEO/development director for their country's steam on programs and initiatives. If there are multiple candidates from a country (outside the United States) we will expand the leadership team in that country to better accommodate the organization's and individuals' needs. The Country Director's main responsibilities will be to guide the development of steam on by assessing the status/progress of our organization in their country, implementing steam on initiatives, and recruiting people to join their national leadership team and start local chapters. The biggest part of being a Country Director will be finding people to join your country's leadership network; so the responsibilities of the Country Director will decrease after they can find people to get involved. Country Directors will need to be able to communicate with their peers well, recruit students to get involved in steam on and join the national leadership team, think critically, problem solve, be compassionate, have patience, and work hard to expand the organization. The time commitment will be around 5-8 hours per week.

If you are interested in joining the international steam on team and want to see the application prior to filling out the actual form, check out the application questions by clicking the "app questions" button below. When you are ready to complete your application, just click the "apply" button. The deadline to apply to be a Country Director is November 30th at midnight Pacfic Time. We can't wait to hear from you. Thanks for getting involved with steam on and helping students to access and achieve!
